Student Visa, Independent ELICOS (Subclass 570)

Welcome to Australia Immigration Visa Services. We provide you information about the Student Visa for the English Language Intensive Courses for Overseas Students (ELICOS).

This temporary visa is for overseas students who wish to come to Australia to study only the ELICOS course, as a stand-alone subject. It is not for those students who plan to improve their standard of English prior to commencing their main course, eg a degree course, or a trade school qualification. If you plan to study for another main course, then apply for a Student Visa as appropriate to your main study course. You can include the English course in that Visa.

It is worthwhile checking to see if you qualify for a visa before you begin the enrolment procedure.
